WeID

WeID is a medical technology based company who's mission is to improve technology in the healthcare system. My partner, Christine Huynh, and I built this company as part of our Senior Design class. We competed in two different competitions, SURCA (Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities) and 2019 WSU Business Plan Competition. Through this we learned about the work that goes into building a company from the ground up.

 

Our company's first device, named IDMe!, was a biometric scanning device that would not only check patients into their appointments, it would store the medical information and insurance/billing of the patient so there would be no need to fill out the same medical information sheets during every clinic visit. This would help decrease the amount of wait time for the patients prior to being called back to the examination room for their appointments.
